UK Head of Buildings Group

Location: Hybrid (Birmingham, England, United Kingdom) 

About the role 

We are recruiting for a UK Head of Buildings Group to support a complex capital project environment. The role is based in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom and is offered on a hybrid basis. 

This opportunity sits within the Engineering Leadership sector. A UK leadership role overseeing building services, civil & structural and EIA disciplines within a multi-discipline engineering business. We are seeking a senior leader to take ownership of the UK Buildings Group, combining people leadership, technical oversight and business strategy. 

Key responsibilities will include 

• lead department heads and multidisciplinary technical teams across the UK.

• Own group development planning, utilisation and resource management.

• Oversee technical quality, design delivery and discipline coordination.

Experience & Qualifications 

Must Have; 

• Strong multi-discipline leadership experience in complex building design environments. 

• Commercial awareness, stakeholder management and the ability to lead large teams. 

• Ability to lead department heads and multidisciplinary technical teams across the UK. 

• Ability to own group development planning, utilisation and resource management. 

• Ability to oversee technical quality, design delivery and discipline coordination. 

Desirable; 

• Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline; chartered/fellow status
