About the role
We are recruiting for a Lead Planner to support a major rail and infrastructure projects in Manchester.
You will lead planning and controls across one or more complex projects, acting as the technical authority for planning standards, templates, and procedures.
Working closely with delivery, commercial, finance, and site/possession teams, you will develop, resource- and cost-load, and maintain integrated schedules (Primavera P6) and support bid/tender planning to ensure a smooth transition into live delivery.
Experience & Qualifications
Must Have;
HND/HNC or degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience planning major infrastructure projects (ideally rail/transport).
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
Strong understanding of project/programme management principles.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.
Desirable;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
Experience producing resource- and cost-loaded plans.
Coordination with site and possession planning teams.
Bid/Tender planning with seamless handover into live contract plans.
