Head of Commercial

About the role 

We are recruiting for a Head of Commercial to support a complex capital project environment. The role is based in Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom and is offered on a hybrid basis. 

This opportunity sits within the Commercial / Quantity Surveying sector. A senior commercial leadership role overseeing cost and commercial performance across major projects. 

We are seeking a Head of Commercial to lead the commercial function, strengthen cost certainty and support complex project delivery and business growth. 

Key responsibilities will include 

• provide leadership to the commercial team and set commercial strategy.

• Oversee cost planning, procurement, commercial controls and contractual risk management.

• Support project teams with commercial governance and client-facing reporting.

Experience & Qualifications 

Must Have; 

• Strong commercial / quantity surveying leadership experience on major capital projects. 

• Excellent contract, procurement and stakeholder management capability. 

• Ability to lead teams and support business growth in a complex delivery environment. 

• Ability to provide leadership to the commercial team and set commercial strategy. 

• Ability to oversee cost planning, procurement, commercial controls and contractual risk management. 

Desirable; 

• Experience within Commercial / Quantity Surveying environments. 

• Strong stakeholder engagement and reporting capability.
