Deputy Head of Electrical Engineering

About the role 

We are recruiting for a Deputy Head of Electrical Engineering to support a complex capital project environment. The role is based in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom and is offered on a hybrid basis. This opportunity sits within the Engineering Leadership sector.

A senior technical leadership role supporting delivery and resource management within the UK electrical engineering team. 

We are seeking a Deputy Head of Electrical Engineering to support department leadership while remaining actively involved in client relationships, technical delivery and project execution. 

Key responsibilities will include

• Support the Head of Electrical / EC&I in leading and managing the electrical engineering team.

• Ensure operational delivery excellence and effective resource allocation across projects.

• Manage and develop client relationships and accounts.

Experience & Qualifications 

Must Have; 

• Degree or equivalent in a related engineering field. 

• Chartered membership of the IET or equivalent professional body. 

• Strong engineering and management experience within multi-discipline environments.

•  Ability to support the Head of Electrical / EC&I in leading and managing the electrical engineering team.

• Ability to ensure operational delivery excellence and effective resource allocation across projects. 

Desirable; 

Experience within Engineering Leadership environments.
